@karanormal
As we roll into and through the holiday season, Everything At Once Studios is hard at work on its short film production, @karanormal, a short psychological thriller that critiques some of the addicting and attention-seeking attributes connected to both the social media celebrity and social media as a construct.
The short film follows the title character Kara, a disgraced social media celebrity known to sacrifice morals and integrity for fortune and fame, as she retreats from the bright lights of the big city and internet stardom to a semi-secluded rental home near her hometown. As Kara attempts to recover from being canceled from her hit paranormal investigation series @karanormal and rethink the trajectory of her life, she is forced to confront the wreckage caused by her undesirable and self-serving ways. Making her retreat to rediscover herself more difficult, Kara finds herself confronting frightening and hard to explain occurrences at her new home that test her fragile mental state and the tenuous relationships with the last people willing to give her another chance.
The vision is in place. The script is written. The roles have been cast and the pre-production planning has been completed. Our cast will consist of Colleen Munn, Adele Crotty, Matthew Crays, Blair Philips, Matt Royek, Alex Tacket, Stephen Hollis, and CEE Brown. All Audio Engineering will be completed by Matt Boland at Arrow-Tone Productions.
But for the next step, we need your help. We believe we have an exciting and compelling short film worthy of screening in theaters and entry into film festivals, including the Eerie Horror Fest. We are asking you to join our IndieGoGo campaign in January and pledge your dollars towards helping cover production costs of @karanormal through purchasing presale tickets, merchandise, and memorabilia, so we can succesfully shoot this film in a way that lives up to the standard and vision we have for this project. Please stay tuned and keep your eyes open for the launch the IndieGoGo campaign in January.
We thank you for your belief in our vision and your contributions. We look forward to seeing you at a screening!
